John H Kirkwood

John Hulan Kirkwood, Sr. was born June 10, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edith (Frieson) Kirkwood and
John Louis Kirkwood, both deceased. John was also preceded in death by his baby sister Angela Kirkwood. John attended Shaw High School and attended Cuyahoga Community College where he received an Associate Degree in Electronic Repair. He enjoyed using his tools to repair anything that needed fixing. He also enjoyed working on his cars. John loved music, especially the Temptations. He often spoke of the time in his youth when he was a
singing group with his friends and actually won a talent show. He also enjoyed playing bid whiz and basketball with his friends. He also had a great sense of humor and infectious laugh.

John learned about Jehovah God from a dear friend and dedicated his life to serve Jehovah on October 21, 1984. He joyfully and courageously spoke of his faith and hope to his family and everyone who would listen. This brought him great joy.

John loved associating with his brothers and sisters in the Christian Congregation. He gave his Bible talks with enthusiasm and vigor that often moved the friends and his family. He always gave the praise to Jehovah and not himself for his abilities.

He met his wife, Celeste and on September 14, 1991 they were married. Together they attended an international convention in Moscow, Russia. This was a highlight of his life that he proudly spoke about often. From their union they had 2 children, Nicole and John. He loved his children and taught them about how to be fine people and how to serve their God Jehovah. He also was their friend.

Although John suffered from many illnesses he tried to do as much as he could to encourage others and his family. He continued to speak to others about God's Kingdom and it's hope for mankind. His faith, strength and determination was seen by many during his illness and will never be forgotten.

John leaves to cherish his memories: His loving and devoted wife of almost 30 years, Celeste; his children: Nicole and John, Jr; his grandson, Nehemiah; his brother Emmett Kirkwood (Denise); His sister, Linda Kirkwood. John has many relatives that will cherish his memory, but especially Desiree Collins
(Horace). She was with him during his recent illness giving him love and support.

John also has many close friends and over 8 million spiritual brothers and sisters all patiently waiting to see him again when Jehovah resurrects him back to life on the paradise earth.

A memorial service via Zoom will be held on Saturday August 21st at 2:00 pm. ZOOM ID 126 247 622 PASSWORD 1914
