Timothy Jenkins Obituary

Timothy C. Jenkins passed away on April 20, 2024.  Tim was born on June 30, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio to C. Fred Jenkins and his wife Jane S. Jenkins.  He was a younger brother to his sister Betsy and brother Jon, and an older brother to his brother Jeff and sister Kitty. Tim was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area.  He graduated from Hiram College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.  Tim had most recently worked as a financial advisor.  He enjoyed his time participating in the municipal governing process through his support and non-support of issues that were important to him. In his younger years, he commuted by bicycle.  This included trips to Louisville, KY to visit his parents.  In 1994, he rode his bicycle to De Smet, SD, for his sister Betsy’s wedding.  He said that, for the most part, people were friendly, but the prairie wind was unrelenting.  Tim greatly enjoyed the company of his two dogs, Luke and Max.  Luke and Max were father & son.  Tim later adopted Angel, Max’s mother.  He loved to take them on walks in The Flats along the Cuyahoga River.

Survivors include his three siblings:  Elizabeth R. (Keith) Gross, Jeffrey A. (Lisa) Jenkins, Katharine A. (David) Rose, and 3 nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother Jane, father Fred, and brother Jonathan T. Jenkins.  Cremation has been done, per Tim's wishes.  Private services for the family will be held at a later date.  Interment will be in West Pittston Cemetery, West Pittston, PA.  Memorials gifts can be sent to the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
