Vincent James Anastasi Age 95 of Euclid OH passed away April 13th 2021.Loving husband of the late Katherine; beloved father of Anthony (Consuelo) Anastasi and Susan Anastasi-Lusetti. Dear grandfather of Vicente Anastasi, Nina Anastasi and Alicia Lusetti; loving uncle and brother in law to many. Jimmy was a great Trumpet player and Musician. He started playing music with his older brother, Joe, in their own band, around the Pittsburgh area. He played in the Navy Band He later hooked up with Russ Carlisle Band which brought him to Cleveland; he played shows such as Circus, Ice capades, musicals and the Front Row.
He was currently playing and recording with the TOPS Band. He was also a brass instrument tester at King Musical Instruments for 36 years. He also taught private lessons to thousands of students for over 60 years.
Jimmy was also a outstanding athlete, and in 2000 he was elected into the U.S.F.T.L, Cleveland Hall of Fame.
He started the Euclid Touch League with Stan Jenovic, and won 8 league championships: 1964-1968 (Mutual Medals), 1982-1983 (Red Raiders), Lakeland Flag League, and 1985 (J& S Tool). He played for over 60 years and never missed a Sunday
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday April 24th at 12:00pm at Ss, Robert-Williams Catholic Church 867 East 260th Euclid Oh. 44132.
