July 6, 2017

Mr. Tyler L. Corbin, Sr. was the youngest of three born to the late Mr. James H. Corbin and Mrs. LaDell Corbin on          January 07,1948, in Etowah County, Alabama. He fell asleep in death on March  21,2023.

,Tyler attended Norris High School where he received his diploma. After high school he enlisted into the US Army and in 1967 he was honorable discharged. He relocated to Cleveland in 1970 and worked for Millbrook Bread Company for years as a Driver.

Tyler was united in marriage to Brenda and from that marriage two sons were born Tyler L. Corbin, Jr., Christopher J. Corbin and years later they divorced. Tyler spent the last fourteen years with his traveling companion, the love of his life, his Fiancé Kathy Rozier. In 2017 he was reunited with his daughter Tavia Harris his two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pop’s was know for making everybody laugh until their bellies hurt. He absolutely loved shooting pool, the Cleveland Browns and was a die hard CAVS fan.  The most beautiful melody was listening to him and his son harmonize the Manhattans, “Let’s just kiss and say goodbye.”

If there was a family event he was there. Traveling and fast cars was one of his greatest passions. Tyler loved his family no matter what.

He was the historian of our family and the glue to the past and the future, he made sure we knew the connections of family in and out of town. Oh! let’s not forget he was Chef Boyardee, he could cook his butt off.

Pop’s was the greatest story teller ever, and for that he will be sorely missed.

He leaves to mourn Two brothers preceded him in death James A. Corbin (Mary “Tweet”), William H. Corbin (Ann), one daughter, Tavia Harris, two sons, Tyler L. Corbin Jr., Christopher J. Corbin and 5 grandchildren, Brittany Duncan, Kenneth Duncan, Chianne Corbin, My’Tia A. Corbin, My’Liah T. Corbin-Williams and 4 great grandchildren, Kenneth Duncan Jr., Keniya Duncan, Kendall Duncan and Trevonne Boyd Jr, a host of nieces and nephews family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

“Pops” never discriminated with the children he loved that  were born into, blended or adopted into the family. “Family was family,” and he loved them all no matter what, he was everybody’s “Pop’s”.
